[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The Buckeye butterfly, identified by its prominent eyespots (2 on the hind wing and one on the upper wing) and the orange bands on the forewing, is one of the common butterflies in North America.

In autumn, Buckeyes migrate south and can be seen in large numbers as they feed in meadows and pastures and roadside weed patches.

This one was photographed at Elk Neck State Park, in the small patch of weeds where I also photographed the Monarch caterpillar.

Hello Kaustubh and welcome on TN!
Very nice title to this "huge-eyed" butterfly :)
I like also details and sharpness (even if depth of field would be a little better in some prats of insect).
Anyway, this is very nice composed photo!
Best greetings from Poland,

Hi Kaustubh,
Outstanding close-up shot of this gorgeous looking Buckeye and those eyes' are majestic. Very neat and sharp image with nice colours and perfect lighting. Though the BG looks a bit noisy (which can be taken care of by any software) I like this natural surrounding. Excellent POV and composition. Kudos.

Hello Kaustubh, nice shot of this Buckeye. You found a very good specimen for this shot. Composition is good with room to the front of the butterfly for him to move forward, I'd have preferred if he was pointing up, but you can't turn this one, with the plant stalk positioned the way it is. Colour is very good with good light on the butterfly. The background is just a tad noisy. Overall nice job.

Thanks, John

Magnifica foto muito bem trabalhada e cores atraentes parabéns.
