The Great Blue Heron mistook a fisherman's lure for a fish and tried to capture it. Fortunately, the fisherman yanked it away in time and no harm was done to the bird. look carefully and you will see the hooks on the lure.

Hello Alan,
What timing to capture such a rare moment. Fortunately everything worked out well for the heron. I accidentally hooked a seagull one time while fishing, what a time I had trying to release it.

Nice to see this 'Great Blue Heron'.

Beautiful bird and I like its chasing pose; dramatic. Quite well captured, although shadow areas are still visible. Like freezing splashing water.
But personally I don't like MAN MADE THINGS in nature picture. I just don't say this :-) I follow too.
