Humming bird moth caught in headlights. You can see how long his feeder is, which appears to be at least 5 or 6 inches! Wow. Was looking at two tomato hookworms on neighors tomatoes yesterday so this is where they are coming from. Neighbors daughter tried to rear one but when it burrowed into the dirt it died. Dirt was from the store so wondered if there was a pesticide in it. Maybe next time use yard soil.

Hi Misty,
Welcome to TN. A nice capture of this hummingbird hawk moth. What amazes me most it its feeder/sucker. Very nice find. But please post images a bit larger so that it will be easy for us to view (800px X 600px). Thanks a lot for sharing.
