Common Yellowthroat (male)
|[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note|
|at first i had seen a glimpse of it. inside the bushes. and i knew i saw a bird which looked like our Indian Pitta! was excited to meet a beautiful, new bird! the size said, it was a Warbler. given almost 40 minutes over there just to manage a decent shot. and then comes the result of patience, i guess :)|
okay, here is a Common Yellowthroat (Geothlypis trichas). and a male.
it was my first sighting of this bird. found the bird on my second day at Shelby Farms Park. happy to share!
PS: this is the only shot that i could manage which shows full profile of the bird. sharing a record shot too (Workshop). i loved that photograph (WS) because of the way the bird was peeking out :)

Nice closed up image.Good pov and sharp image also colors are natural.I thing that you should have left more space in front of the warbler it seem a little to tight. No matter what this an nice picture.
Great shot Ruby!!
I was so excited to see this common Yellowthroat Warbler posting. You captured him in an excellent pose which shows off his beautiful plumage.
This is one of the guys I try to capture every spring while up at Magee Marsh. They are not easily photographed at times, because they like to stay in the brush. Super job!!!
