White-crowned Sparrow (juvenile)
|[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note|
|this is my Sparrow species # 4. till now :)|
well, i found this bird on the same day (Thanksgiving day), at the same place (Shelby Farms Park) and with the same bird (the other Sparrow species, whose photograph i had posted yesterday).. roaming around in the marshland.
later, at home, when i searched and studied thoroughly.. i felt like it was an immature White-crowned Sparrow (Zonotrichia leucophrys). but then, so close these two birds had been! they moved like a pair.. or two best friends. that confused me a lot. i tried to know if juvenile White-throated Sparrow (Zonotrichia albicollis) looked like this. but still not confirmed. i think it is NOT a juvenile 'Zonotrichia albicollis'. because, this bird was slightly bigger in size than my previously posted 'Zonotrichia albicollis'. can a juvenile bird be bigger than the adult bird? i really don't know. but i think that doesn't actually happen..
so seems like, it was a juvenile 'Zonotrichia leucophrys'. well, in that case, their intimacy must make me curious..
can you shed any light on it, my friends?

A real beauty Ruby, glad he decided to pose so nicely for you on this ocassion. Love the stylish brownish red stripes on his forehead and plump little body. Good eye contact and beautiful earth toned colors in his plumage. Very attractive BG as well. Great work!!
Hello dear Ruby ! Hello :)
What a lovely capture of this seemingly ordinary fellow and I have to admit that I have been conquered by those early afternoon colors. Extraordinary ! I couldn't resist however to take this workshop and to add some small changes to those magical colors. Hope you like it Ruby Sarkar!
