Winecup or finger poppy-mallow is a 3-5 ft., slender-stemmed perennial with gray-green, lobed leaves and violet to red-violet, sometimes white, poppy-like flowers. The flowers are cup-shaped at first, opening out nearly flat as they mature.
This pretty plant is drought tolerant. |

Wonderful photo where the backlight illuminated this poppy beautifully. Superb work on both the composition and DOF. Sharpness and exposure a spot on with great soft shades and nice highlights. I am not so sure about the frame and the flower but in the bottom right.

I love this picture, it is very beautiful ! The color of the flower is amazing (I love violett) and the light is truly wonderful. i like it how it shines through the patals, making them look translucent. Nice details and natural colors, splendid composition, beautiful blurred BG. Very well done !
