Another Motion Shot
Hi Angelina. You could use a free download called Neatimage this helps to get rid of noise. Any way you have blurred feet and legs where it was moving but other than that it a fine close up of this beautiful bird. Which you have taken with fine detail and colours in the featehrs. well done TFS.
This is a very good shot and the movement here in the picture is not a distraction at all. I loved the catch light as well. I can understand your agony with Fstop and shutter speed, we have go through this every day but at the same time i'm surprised there is noise at 200 ISO in your camera, coz most of the camera's today produce good results at 200 ISO and i'm not sure whether its ur lens:-)
One way to overcome is usage of good flash :-), but the picture might look flat :-(
As Nick said, neat image will also work wonders with noise.

Bu kırmızı renkli kuşun harika bir karesini sunmuşsun. Renkler ve detaylar enfes olmuş. Emeğine sağlık.

This Cardinal looks very determined as he's walking along. Excellent focus on the eye and lovely colours. I find the blurred effect rather nice here and I like the background colour and the composition. Well done!
TFS and regards, Ulla

It's so nice to have you and Senor Rojo back again! He is as beautiful as ever. I think this picture is just fine - the only movement is what is moving - his legs. Beautiful colors and details. I haven't seen a Cardinal here in months!

Well, in freezing motion, this one is much better than the last Angelina, the feet in motion provides some positive dynamism and the neutral BG enhances the natural colours of the bird nicely. Good job indeed!

What a cute shot. Your funny partner looks like it is dancing. Bravo, great timing and very nice front POV. Sunlight, colours are vivid and nice. My compliments.

my experience with the Red Cardinals is that they are very fearfull birds,
excellent shot of Senor Rojo, with fine POV and framing,
beautiful luminosity on the bird and colour tones of its plumage,
excellent sharpness and details of its boady
and i love the feets blur showing the motion of the image, TFS

Great sense of motion seen Jane, he's got an uphill battle for 2009 ;}
Speaking of uphill battles, we all struggle with this issue when trying for action shots. At the end of the day, it depends on the camera sensors sensitivity & usable ISO range..along with your lens "brightness".
You know the rest of the stuff :)
Best wishes for a Happy New Year mf,

Great shot of our state bird, love the action it shows. You've captured some wonderful colors in the birds plumage as well as the BG. Well done!! TFS.
I also have a 70-300MM 1:4-5.6 so I can relate to your frustrations with the amount of light you need in a lot of situations. I'm thinking of getting a 200MM F2.8 sometime in the future, which I hope will help in low light conditions.

No suggestions at all; why??? This is a LOVELY PIECE of work, "AS IS".
Girl, this place is COLD COLD COLD!!!
Cannot see much of the wild life this time of year, here in Alberta, unless one goes out into the 'bush' country.
A HAPPY NEW YEAR.
Fond regards from Bernardete & self, both to you and your loved ones.... includes your "furry" guys too.

Nice shot. The colours and composition look beautiful. I woud have preferred to keep the thing on which the bird is moving horizontal. The sparkle in the eye of the bird makes it look full of life.

really funny step dancers's gait, well captured in motion in front of a perfectly cooperative clean background in perfect light. I love those feet lifted in the air, and Senor Rojo's self assertive upright pose while walking against the sun.
Thank you! Best regards,

Sr. Rojo could not be better in this lovely photo in motion, I like the fine colors of feathers, well focus in his eyes and the nice BG makes it even better.

Oh Boy! Now here is a man who is always on the move;)
The motion registered in the legs doesnt affect the beauty of the capture you present to us.I dream of seeing a Cardinal with my own eyes in real...other than admiring and (also envying) you Americans for being able to have this as one of the abudant birds in your part of the world. The catchlight makes the shot more effective. The burning red on the bird is so nicely highlighted by the ambient light streaming from left.Well done...
TFS....why did u stop with this one...keep them coming girl;)
P.S:-Thanks to Asbed(Celtic Ranger) who is exploring and learning all Manual functions of P&S,i have also become motivated to understand my P&S options better.I am slowly becoming familar with the action and reactions of fiddling with the settings- shutterspeed,ISO, light etc...So i could atleast understand the reasons for the noise problem you mentioned in your note.

Wonderful shot of this cardinal with such lovely colours on its plumage. Though the motion is not freezed it still portrays a fine perspective with the legs shown in motion and the body perfectly captured. The image is neat and sharp with superb handling of natural lighting and a fabulous glint on its eyes.
