Canyon de' Chilly

It's hard to describe how striking this area is. Remote, sparsely populated. wind and water have cut these deep canyons. The top of the plateau is 800 ft above the river. Even harder is knowing that this is all former ocean bottom sediments.

More to come, I am working nearby for a few months and plan on many side trips.

Looking at my shlot settings here, I think stopping the camera down and shotting slower would have been a better choice, I seem to have gotten away with it here. The DOF is good. Not sure what I was thinking?

This is from a raw, and I did have to darker is and tweak the color temptone and saturation to bring out the true color and details, it sure takes less time to set the camera correctly.
