Canyon de Chelly is classified as "National Monument", it is situated in the heart of a Navajo reservation.
The cliffs are made of sandstone and reach 300 m in places. Spider Rock is this extraordinary 229 m high double spire , where the Navajo mythology places the residence of "Grandmother Spider", the creator of the world.

Hi Philippe
beautiful wide angle picture with nice colors somehow remembering good old slides

Hallo Philippe
I just love this scenery with its wide open space and beautiful cliffs. I am sure the fresh air that you breath there is awesome. Thanks for sharing this National Monument. Best regards.

Hello Philippe,

Hope you are well. This is a classic shot of this wonderful rock formation. I remember it when I first saw it in a famous Hollywood western movie of 1969 called Mackenna's Gold, starring Gregory Peck and others.Your vantage point is excellent and the view is indeed breathtaking.
Thanks a lot for sharing....take care ....warm regards/Abid

Bonjour Philippe,
