Common Moorhen (Gallinula chloropus)

I have been absent for a few days due to my computer's
power cable been out of comission. But now I have new cable and new pictures, like this friendly Moorhen that I photographed yesterday

Note:

This is a common breeding bird in marsh environments and well-vegetated lakes. Populations in areas where the waters freeze, such as southern Canada, the northern USA and eastern Europe, will migrate to more temperate climes. This species will consume a wide variety of vegetable material and small aquatic creatures. They forage while swimming, sometimes upending to feed, or walking through the marsh. It is often secretive, but can become tame in some areas. Despite loss of habitat in parts of its range, the Common Moorhen remains plentiful and widespread.

We have Purple Swamphens in India that resemble this Moorhen, Everton. I guess they must be close cousins.
Your Canon 70-300mm is a powerful lens, going by the precision of this capture. The details on the bird are incredible and the colours are rich and well saturated.
Thanks and regards.

Hi Everton.
First-class picture of a nice bird. You have reflected the three-dimensional space perfectly. I also like clear colours, superb use of sunlight and ultimate sharpness of the bird and exposure of the image. Bravo. Excellent job.
