What an fantastic image. I like the eye contact and the colors of the plumage is beautiful. Sitting against the green makes it just more visible and clear to see. Very well done and thanks for sharing.

Despite the difficult shooting conditions you managed to take perfectly exposed picture of the charming bird. Every tiny leaf and twig, every detail of the owl is reproduced precisely. First yes I dance with skunks and wolves, bears, elk ahhh dam any wildlife but don't tell Lucy. An another fine capture for your portfolio, this looks to be a young one and the sun was on his left side I believe. Thanks for the excellent work Jane.

Just got my computer back last night after having to send it out for repairs. Great shot of this wide awake owl who seems to be checking you out for taking his picture. A real beauty and nicely posed just for you and your camera. Well done!!
Not sure why, but it seems like the owls out in Arizona don't mind coming out in the daytime, where as we seldom see any here in Ohio until dark.
