[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This little bug was cruising along a plant on my patio. I captured him using a close-up filter #1.

The weather in the OC has been rainy lately, limiting photography opportunities. Hopefully it will clear up soon.

Here's some more info. The bug is 1mm from tip to tail. The flower it's climbing on is a Celebrette Orchid New Guinea Impatiens. The flower has highly textured reflective petals.

To get this composition, I had to crop down significantly. The close-up lens that I used helped, but the bug was too small. If I would have cropped much more, I would have started loosing detail.

little that is the word! Cute! but what are the white spots on the petals? I like the composition, we barely see the bug, yet we know it's the subject.

Hi Fred, I well know how difficult it is to photograph these small bugs and yours is large compared to what I have been trying to capture.
I might have cloned out the red in the background
