Hello Tom,
This is an excellent shot of this bird.
You got very clear and sharp details on the plumage and eye, with the help of that POV and good ilumination.
DOF works great with the blurred leave of the foreground.
Comosposition is well balanced.
Perhaps I miss the tip of the tail.

An outstanding close up of blue jay. Incredible detail and colors. The blurred dark leaf in the center is unfortunate. Some could probably clone that out (but I am not one of them). If there is more room in the original frame, I would not crop so close to the beak. Great job on exposure!
