|California Sea Lion: "In the Wild"|
California Sea Lions feed on a wide-variety of seafood including fish, shellfish, and squid. Commonly eaten fish species include salmon, hake, Pacific whiting, anchovies, and herring. They feed mostly around the edge of the continental shelf as well as sea mounts, the open ocean and the ocean bottom.
California sea lions are highly social and breed on sandy beaches in the the southern part of their range which includes central to southern California and Baja California. On warm days they stay close to the water's edge. At night or on cool days, the sea lions will movie inland or up coastal slopes.

Wow, Adam, you sure got a close-up of that seal.
Did you use your super duper lens for that?
The details on the wet fur are just fantastic.
I like the light on it, giving it a delicious cafe-au-lait color.
Did you have to climb out on a rock to get that?
TFS. : )
great captured of the warm and friendly sea lion with perfect clarity, good lighting and details

What a nice creative work and excellent sample of art portrait. Fantastic pose and so fantastic BG. Amazing lights and shadows. Tremendous sharpness, details and colour reproduction, Bravo. Superb job.
This is a beautiful portrait Adam and most of all, I'm impressed by the fact that it was taken in the wild. You were very close I guess. I love those tones of colors and this blue background is amazing. You captured excellent details on this beautiful animal. Thanks,
