Hey Evelynn,
you have my utmost sympathy regarding the rain, but at least you managed to get out and get this beauty on your one clear day. I wish i could use some snow shoes!
Perfect exposure on the snow and your composition is superb...a true winter wonderland, very well done.

It's really a christmas card. There are 3 beautiful points of view. The fresh snow, the pinetrees with snow and the blue sky. The photo is sharp, with a great POV and BG. Very natural colours. Only shame of that track in the snow. A merry christmas and a happy new year. Regards and TFS BOB

Wonderful image Evelynn. It is a classic shot but it is YOURS and this one is done so very well. The white of winter is almost overwhelming if it were not for the beauty. Normally I would see a driveway here with a days worth of shoveling:-) That happened too oft4en in the wilderness....a nice reminder that I no longer have this chore....

Hello Evelynn

This is beautiful! I went out and tried to achieve something like this,we must have nearly 100 cm of snow out there...but I just am not good enough at landscapes.I always use my 70-300 and pack light so I must make an effort to use my other lens.
I love the vertical look of the shot,the low POV and the way the path curves into the perspective...leaves me wanting to explore around the bend.
The snow laden trees are magnificent.
That beautiful blue sky with just enough cloud makes a perfect back drop.
This is as they say, a picture,perfect postcard.

I like this very much. You have lots of snow there. Very good composition with the trees on both sides and the nice blue sky in the back. The trail leads the eye all the way to the back of the picture.
Good choisen pov and a joy to look at.

It seems that the winter has really started. TN is getting bombarded with real winter photos. My thoughts are the opposite of Bob when it comes to the track. They give more interest to the photo. As to who and what walked there before you? They also add as a perfect leadline and makes you wonder what surprise can be found around the bend.
I remember you previous snow photos. At that time I fell in love with the the beautiful shapes of the tall pine trees covered with snow. That love is still there. The blue sky adds a wonderful color element to the composition.

A scene that reminds me of my trip to Finland a few years back....the trees laden with snow, the silence and calm that a layer of snow brings. A lovely composition with the trail leading off and I like the perspective making the trees tall and towering.Sad to hear the rains washed it away....Happy Holidays.

Great composition Evelynn,
The blue sky tops off the image predominated by white famously.
Excellent detail, color, and depth..And all that snow..Wish I could've slapped on a pair of snowshoes & taken a spin myself! :)
