I love spring snow when the day following a storm might be sunny and relatively warm. We drove to nearby Cascade Mountains early in order to see the snow still on the trees. For some reason the blue is different on the uploaded version. I did change it to sRGB color space before I did anything to it but it still uploads more yellowish than the rich blue in the original... Oh well... another mystery : P

it look's great to me, I have never seen snow, so I love to see photo's like this and just wish i was there.

You realize that every time you take a great picture like this that you just irritate me since I have not. :)

This is a wonderful composition showing late winter in the western Oregon mountains. The color and composition are great.

Without exception, if you saved the color space as sRGB then what you see on the uploaded version should pretty much exactly match what you see on your local machine before uploading, assuming you used Photoshop or Photoshop Elements. That is the whole purpose for converting to sRGB before uploading in the first place.

That it is a real mystery for sure. If you are willing to share your original, untouched image with me I'll bet you a drink with you and your husband that I can tell you why! If I win you buy for me, if I win I buy for the both of you! Now that is a challenge.

Go ahead, punk... make my day! (To quote Clint Eastwood in the movie, "Dirty Harry") LOL!!!

Hi Evelynn

Well I think this is a stunning posting and really like the colours :) The upward facing POV contrasting the spruce with the slope works really well.

Colour change on uploads - tell me about it!!! Today's upload of Uluru looks the red/orange it should - on my other screen it is just plain orange!!

Hola Evelynn.
Great image here. Nice colors, excellent sharpness and very well framed as well. I also like the POV here.
TFS Evelynn.

hello Evelynn

in my Mac's screen i have a lovely cold winter's sunny day blue sky,
i love the POV of your image, from down to up, winter day
excellent light, and excellent details of the snows on the trees, TFS

That bit of filtered sunlight through the branches of the small FG tree is particularly appealing Evelynn.

Hi Evelynn,
This is real lovely, a moment well captured, the snow on the trees is so beautiful. I was just in the cascades yesterday up in White Pass 4500ft elevation and it looked just like your image. Very enjoyable to be up in the mountains this time of year. TFS :)

Absolutely beautiful winter shot. Excellent composition, very sharp and detailed. Love the natural colours and that clear blue sky really sets it off.

Hello Evelynn

I love shots like this.
The vertical pines are beautiful.
The snow covering decorates them and they are illuminated beautifully.
The brilliant blue sky makes a wonderful backdrop.
Excellent focus and detail. The POV is well chosen.

Hello Evelynn,
I agree with you!
Never is the sunshine as bright as in a landcsape with fresh snow!
This is an attractive composition with great late winter colours...

Hi Evelynn

So it's again snow time there, huh? :)
I actually don't like it when that happens...once it gets warm and spring-ish, i don't want to see any more snow...let it snow all winter long but once you hit March, stop :)

Anyway, i see you took nice advantage of this and took a simple but very beautiful shot!
I like the composition here - with the beautiful diagonals and the perfect verticals of the trees.
Very good exposure, too and gorgeous natural colors (especially in the sky)...can't really say anything about the sRGB dilemma, but it looks very nice from where i'm standing :)

Cheers and TFS

Oh wow! Great capture again Evelynn! Flawless composition, perfectly done exposure and super fine details. The blue of that crisp sky is just stunning. Thanks!

Hi Evelynn

thought i would try to participate again, now that i am back at work after my op and what do i get to se, one of your wonderful photos really rubbing it in how much i have missed both in photography, winter and other people's photos... still getting better now so may be able to start to post again.

fantastic composition BTW.

Hi Evelynn!

Yet another wonderful, simple landscape, with a unique subject distance. I like from-close-to-not-too-far compositions very much! This picture of yours is one of the best in this style.
And in addition the shine on the little tree in the center is lovely. Warms up the overall impression just as much as it should... TFS!

Best regards,

Hi Evelynn,

Yellowish Blue or Rich Blue, it doesn't at all detract from this being a really lovely image, beautiful composition and vivid colours... that's "proper snow" - we don't get that much over here in the UK!

Lovely work - thanks for sharing.
