[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is a photo of a Stellar Jay , taken from inside my house though a window. Special Thanks to Rick for letting me know the name of this bird. I took this one before a hike, Trek Nature has been an influence on my photography, the mountains were not visable from my home due to cloud cover, but I saw lots of birds out and suddenly a Stellar Jay flys out, so I go through my house to rush for my camera and was able to get it just in time before it was too late.

Hello Joshua,
Excellent image with great details and magnificent colors. This lovely image is of a Stellar Jay though Joshua not a Blue Jay. I hope this helps http://www.akabirdnerd.com/birdnerd/fieldguide/jays.htm

Hi Joshua
Very nice composition although if you follow the two thirds rule it needs more cropping to the birds right.also i fell the focus is a tiny bit soft and the color a little dull.tfs jon

Hi Joshua, I don't see a lot of these Jays so its always good to see another. The colour is good on this guy, with decent detail, though he might be just a tad soft. I had a look at Taba's workshop, and it looks like he did a fair job for you. I like the pose this guy is giving you, showing off his back plumage while looking to the side to give you that eye.

Thanks, John

hello Joshua

lovely shot of this Jay, i love your fine POV the bird from behind,
excellent DOF, lovely blue and black colour tones
and great details, TFS

Wow! What a stunning bird!
The electric blue feathers are amazing!
The Stellar's Jay looks very nice among the lichen too.
Great POV.
Superb DOF.
Nice light.
Superb work Josh and thanks for sharing this because I'd never heard of such a bird before :-)
Well done mate,

Hello Joshua,
This fantastic bird is seldom seen on TN and this is a lovely capture of it in a fine pose on the lichen covered branch. Good focus and wonderful colours. I like the natural background too. I think Joe has done a nice job, although a bit too bright. I notice your reply where you say this is common - please show us more! Well done!
Many thanks, Ulla

Hi Joshua

This electric blue Jay is very handsome, and I have not seen one before; an amazing photo taken through a window!!
