This almost pano shot was taken when teh meter was reading teh brightened sky thereby creating the silhouette of the sky and prairie. Out about 15 miles West of Cheney, the Palouse and prairie grasses are tamed less and less. On this particular day, it was the first real storm of winter coming in. We are looking Southeast and the storm is coming from the right section of the image, preceded by the clouds...There was a slight but cool breeze which quickly tuned very cold and very vicious...I scurried back into town before the storm hit.

Hi Bob!

I would like to take part in this conference! At least as a privileged spectator as you were one. The sky, the clouds and the lightplay are simply superb and invite to free my mind, to take off and to start for a long dreaming-adventure.

Many thanks for this!

Kind regards

Markus

A very contrasty, elegant panoramic shot, Bob.
The eloquent sky is well juxtaposed with the darker earth and therein lies the magical charm of this picture.
The sihouetted trees on the horizon create a lovely balance between the earth and the sky.
Thanks and regards.

Namastay Bob,
A beautifully captured landscape. Very well composed. The Leica was with the LCD working well that time. Thanks a lot for sharing.

Sincerely
HP

Hy Bob
The clouds almost always are forming interesting patterns in the sky.You captured here different forms and types,I like most those in the BG, lower altitude cluds.
Regards, Oana

Hi Bob. Now this is my type of landscape. The clouds and blue being the main colour. Yet the Palouse has many patterns on the ground. I like the pov looking up the hill. Up to the trees on the hilltop. well done TFS.
Nick..

Hi Bob,
Although this looks somewhat 'cultivated' to be a natural history shot, the sky and overall mood of the panorama make it worth posting.
Very nice exposure and light.
TFS & cheers,
Steve

Hello Bob,
Wonderful image with that amazing sky and that dark summerfallow field, with the strong contrast between them. Nice work My Friend, I sent you some bull in an Email.
Rick

The clouds are dramatic bob and with that difficult lighting you have managed to get details on the lands as well. Good shot sir.

Hi Bob...

Great shot of the "heavens". Beautiful and majestic cloud formation. I too have taken to look and watch the sky... ;)
