took this picture in the butterfly enclosure at woodland park zoo in seattle. if anybody knows the type of butterfly I would be very interested to know. hope everybody has a great 3 day weekend!!

Hello Jeff,
your picture shows the butterfly Anartia jatrophae (family: Nymphalidae).
It is common in Central America and is also found in the southern USA (Texas, Florida).

This is a unique POV - and caught my attention immediately. Good, rich coloring, nice dof, and thought slightly out of focus, the subject is still beautiful.

I agree with Kathy, this pose caught my eye right off the bat. You may have cropped just a tad too tight and that is the reason for the slight out of focus look.
