[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
In my past visits here to look into the crater and observe the rebuilding process, this vent was not seen in my past visits. I took this shot from approx. 3-4 miles distant along the Johnston Ridge Trail below the observatory. Below where I was standing were seen a herd of Elk grazing in a meadow, another mile down it appeared. All in all, A Great Day to be on the mountain...

Hello Steven,
Another attractive POV of this unique crater. I like the way the smoke encircles a small portion of the inner crater in a perfect ring. Must have been exciting to find the previously unknown vent!
