These are baby burros found near the Bill Williams River in Arizona. Burros are originally from Africa, and were introduced to the southwestern United States in the 1500s by Spaniards.

I have to say this is such a cute shot. I'm a sucker for Burros. LO I like your composition but I think a regular black and white conversion may look better. This kinda has a sepia tone to it. The B/W will benifit from the noise thats in the sky. Maybe a bit of contrast as well.

I really like the sepia tone. The western setting with the burros make this look like a shot from the late 1800's. The composition is great, too!
