Hi Tom,
Top shot. Superb colours, sharpness and lighting. Great POV and blurry BG. I think his expression suggests that it was angry with you for taking the shot without permission. But it has made an impression on TN for sure. Very nicely composed. Kudos.

Hi Tom,
it's a real pleasure to get a bird like this in close distance of your lens. Swallows are also a great subject. Very well captured with good light display. The blue colours are fantastic. And there's even a blink in the eye. What's more to wish.
By the way...is this Hirundo rustica?

Hi Tom, you have caught a great moment of awareness. This Swallow is in a hurry and I wouldn't mess with him! Swallows do have beautiful eyes. Great capture with focus picking up the light on his head and those wonderful eyes. Great colour, sharpness and DOF.

Hi Tom,

Good catch. The face is nice and sharp, but the breast seems a little soft. You did a great job of capturint the irridescence. The negative space on the left side makes for better composition than if it had been more centered.

Barn swallows are so swift and fast but when they land and you get close enough they look so macho and stern. You captured the macho pose perfectly. Colors are great and sharpness and details are great as well. Nice shot.
