Michel
I take this is a Brown Pelican? Can you please post some notes and details on how you shot this? tripod, handheld, lens, flash, etc. This is a very nice "on the wing" shot that would be improved with fill-in flash to lighten-up the underwings. I like the small catchlight in the eye.

Great in-flight catch of this pelican, Michel. The characteristical posture is very well captured, and I like how the composition leaves room for him to "fly into".

Are you sure this is not a military plane over Bagdad - The fish might think so :) I also like th crop that alows him space to fly into. I would also like to see more info on how this was taken.

Nicely done. Great sharpness and focus and I guess that must have been a bit tricky. Lovely blue sky.

Nice capture of this pelican lining up for the runway, nicely set off against the blue sky and even with some details visible under the wings ;-)
I agree with Callie that some notes would be nice.
You'd need a pretty strong flash in order for fill flash to work here, I reckon.

Nice composition here Michel, good capture of the gliding posture of the pelican. I have always loved watching these guys dive into the water and make a catch! Great stuff!

This sweet moment is very nicely handled. I would love to learn more about this animal thought. I agree with nwoehl on the composition. Thanx for sharing.

Spectacular image against a clear blue sky.
