|[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note|
|Another shot from the Grand Canyon. The year before I got my Canon 10D, when I was still using an older Nikon Coolpix, I decided the best way to get shots of the farmland around Lancaster County, PA, was to go up in a hot air balloon. It was a perfect photographer's platform. The images are okay, but the quality isn't as good as I'd like, so they probably won't migrate here. When I knew I was going to be in Phoenix for ten days, I decided to arrange for a helicopter flight over the Canyon to get a different perspective from the ground level shots I would be taking. It was worth doing. The pictures aren't necessarily better than the ones I took from the ground, but you can see more of the Canyon in most of them.|
I did do a little post-processing in Photoshop. The shots were taken close to midday, so the colors were a little washed out. I isolated the sky from the ground, deepened the sky with Adjustments/Levels, then deepened the whole image, sharpened it, reduced the filesize and saved it.

Majestic panorama Michael! Lovely light and colours. I like stripes-like formation of rocks with contrast to same shapes in the sky. Great picture!
Very good shot good details and colours.
It is something i would love to see for myself one day. It is huge, and it gives you a feeling of being a tiny nothing in this big, big world.
Thanx for sharing
