The Town Deer
|[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note|
|Curlew is not really a town. It is more of a community with a post office. Pop. apprx. 120 people. There are more in the zip code but they are mountain folks, scattered on wilderness roads.|
It seems in towns all across the west, deer are becoming more abundant because the cougar (a natural preditor) population is dwindling. So deer have started becoming much more used to people and from time to time wander ito the general area of the post office. The few people mammals who live there call the deer a nuisance. I wonder what the deer thought when man moved into the wilderness around the turn of the century?

I love the old fire truck! I hope your VFD has newer equipment than that! ha ha
Lovely shot of these deer. You could actually crop out the two to the left (my left not theirs ha ha) and I think the photo would be more balanced. Just my opinion now. :)

Hi Bob.- Very nice and interesting is your photo. I like a lot this wild animals.
i really like your photo and i am wondering
it is a photo or a painting ?
i realy like the dark colours (couleurs chaudes)
(the deers and fireman truck)
on the cold colours (couleurs froides) (the bakcround)
just one thing, you shoul'd zoom less to let
the trucks front an the left deers all body be on the image
very beautifull photo (très belle photo)
Very nice capture of the deer and the old fire truck in the BG.
A shot of either would be interesting. You don't see many old fire trucks now a days. We have deer here in our area but mostly only come out at night so not so easy to get photos of them.
Nice picture of the cute deer in fron of the car.I like the colors and your point od view.the sharpness is good and you gave the animals a good positioning.Maybe you should have shown more on the left side,so that you can se the whole deer on the left.
But well done!
