[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The curve-billed thrasher is a very common resident of cholla cactus, mesquite trees and creosote bushes. It also lives around farms, ranches and towns. It is a grayish bird with a down-curved bill, long tail and orange-colored eyes. The thrasher is a good singer and this species usually sings from the topmost branch of a cholla. Its nest is generally placed within cholla cactus where it is well protected by cactus spines. It is a rapid runner and does most of its feeding on the ground. The strong, decurved bill is used for digging into the soil for insects. It also eats seeds, fruits and berries.

Hi Jane
Good capture, I never saw that bird before.Your picture focus is very good .Nice view of is eye & I also like the composition.I beleive that it would have been also a very good picture if you could have blur the back round a little more, no matter what it is a good shot.

Hi Jane

Good pose of this bird in its natural habitat, You have caught the character of the bird in this shot.

A very strong, clear image of this bird. I would never have imagined, without your note, that it would be a good singer. Excellent image and note.

Hi Jane, this is a serious looking bird, must have good vision with those eyes. Very nice POV and pose, good exposure and all nice and sharp.

Hello Jane,
I missed some of your last posts... This guy looks very upset. I guess that he doesn't like to be photograph. You were lucky to see him has he looks so much like its environment. You caught nice details, a good pose in a good composition. Well done! Thanks,
