Hello Tom,
We all take nature shots for the fun of and if you can joke about it so much the better!
I think he is telling his mate: 'I'm the boss here, so don't get any big ideas about taking my place on this rock!'
Nice sharp and well lit shot of a pair of Cormorants.
Regards, Ivan

Hi Tom,
A majestic shot which portrays the eccentricies of life. The arrogant and the subdued, the vociferous and the silent. Very neat image, sharp and perfect light management. The blue ripples are well captured and it presents a nice contrast. Very nicely composed and presented. Kudos.

Ahhh the feeling of home...how wonderful. And the rock covered with crustaceans of barnacles and thus. They are saying "Stay aware all ye' who would enter our domain, lest we fly off and bother you on another day.

In Monterey you have some interesting vistas...I suggest a wonderful trip down 1....better yet...go to San Fran, across the G'Gate bridge and then to Bolinas. From there take 1 North to Westport, one of the northernmost coastal cities in Mendocino County..and take batteries 'o plenty...and take your time.

Hi there Tom,

This is a good image with an interesting story and a good composition. Well done.

Not for your note but the picture is good. You need to keep some more blue on top. Pictures bottom became too heavy.

Hi Tom,

yeh I think your right about the singing, but the other doesn't look too impressed!! :-)

Nice shot, in what looks like awkward lighting.

Hi Tom, great title. You have caught the cormorants really well with nice tones on the black feathers. The scene is bathed in great light. Great POV, colours and sharpness excellent. Great composition!

Magnifique composition .
