|[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note|
|Hi all, This is my first posting here and I hope you enjoy my work. I look forward to critiques and new ideas and new friends. This photo is of a cactus in bloom. My friend gave me this cactus having been recently uprooted somewhere near Brady, TX. I put it in a pot and pretty much forgot about it. Then I deployed to Kuwait last summer and when I came home it was about three times it's original size having had no care at all for six hot months. I guess it loves pot life. Early this April it went wild with a floral show I've never seen from a cactus before. What prompted me to post this photo was a photo by Angybone of a similar flower. She Identified hers as Echinocereus reichenbachii(Lace Hedgehog). This interested me because the flowers seem identical but the cactus is not. I will post a photo of the entire cactus later for comparison. Maybe someone can help me identify my cactus. As far as the photo goes the PP is a 5% increase in contrast using PS7. Thanks for looking.|

WELCOME TO TREKNATURE!
Great to have another Central Texan onboard!
This is a lovely shot - great detail.
Hope to see a lot more of your work. I've been wanting to make it to the State Park in San Angelo to get a horned toad photo (that's Horny toad amongst us locals. ha ha)
