[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This little fellow was on the move (although rather slowly) in the pursuit of fish. So I shot a burst and tried to keep him in the frame. This is the best of the bunch. It is a bit blurred due to motion and the fact that the light changed and reduced my shutter speed to 1/20 of a second. Shot at 420mm hand held.

It is hard to realize how small these little guys are unless you have seen one or there is something in the photo for scale. They are about the size of a crow.

Hi Jim,
Splendid shot of the Green Heron on the prowl. Your idea of shooting in a burst helped here and you have captured a marvellous attacking pose and its intensity. Very impressive sharpness and fine focus. I like your POV and the BG admirably illustrates the habitat. Very nicely composed. Kudos.

Great shot ! Burst mode has helped me out more than once.. :-)

Super detail and colors are very nice. Good action, you can almost feel the tension in the bird.

Its a great moving image Jim, not too much blur. I like the pov showing his long legs and feet, he's on a mission here. Great colours, focus and good light. Lovely composition.
