The exposure is sure right on. No blow outs on white and the DOF looks great.With that speed setting, I wonder if you were expecting it to fly.

Outstanding shot of the Checkered White with immaculate sharpness and superb exposure of the white in natural lighting. Set against the smooth BG the subjects stand out perfectly. Excellent POV and a classical pose captured. Very nicely composed. Kudos.

Hello ken,
Nice shot of a Checkered White in a classical pose and position on the flower. This is nice and sharp and well composed against a fine neutral BG. The butterfly looks very white and it's hard to decide whether this is natural or slightly OE, but this does not detract from the quality of the shot.

Hi Ken.
How many nice pictures you have taken and how not enough time I have to comment them. This shot is brilliant. Reproduction of the butterfly (as well as the flower) is outstanding. Lighting, colors, sharpness of the main subject are superb too. BG, its colorfulness and blurriness are fantastic. Bravo and my heart regards.

Hi Ken

Another great butterfly shot captured with amazing details and contrast considering that it was done on ISO400 and with a very shallow DOF. Evidently from the 1/1000 second shutter speed you had ample light to work with so the ISO setting could well have been set to 100 and the aperture size reduced with some spare shutter speed to work with.

The same goes for this shot as with your Orange Sulphur so, since I already addressed a number of aspects in the workshop and the forum dealing with it I am not going to repeat all that stuff again. However, I need to say that you have a well captured image with excellent composition. Once again the butterfly's proboscis is deeply imbedded in the flower and it's obviously having a feast on the flower's nectar. The exposure was very well controlled and you perfectly managed to eliminate any OE on the white underwings. With a little additional PP work this shot could come to its full potential. I hope you like the workshop.

I also like Loot's workshop, which made the image pop. Speaking of making images pop, lately, I have been processing and converting my RAW files with DxO.
