[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I had taken some pictures of the bumblebee on the butterfly bush and walked a few feet around to the canna lily where I found the robber fly eating some of the seed stems. I was taking some photos of him when suddenly he flew over to the butterfly bush and there was a noisy buzzing.

I found the two down inside the grass and weeds locked together like this. The robber fly wanted badly to fly him out of there but didn't seem to have the strength. I was able to clear away some of the obstructions and keep shooting until he flew off with him.

Some bright reflections were still in front of them and I have done some post processing on that. I hope my footprint isn't too heavy.

Hi Reid,
What a very impressive image well done, good sharpness and colors

hello reid,
fine capture of the predator and the prey, the closeup has a lot of details, nice pov, lovely composition,
tfs & regards

You have appeared to open a whole new world of macro and I am finding it quite enjoying. Not having done much in the macro, I am a bit out of my ballgame when I critique but can see no err in this whatsoever.'

Hola Reid,
Gran acercamiento, donde se muestra con toda nitidez y detalle el momento de la captura, buen documento. Saludos

Hi Mr. Reid,
What a dreadful scene. You have captured it excellently. And how much close. Very nice photography. Thanks a lot for sharing.

Hi Reid,
A fine macro. Nature has produced some strange looking characters. Nice color and composition. Well captured.

Great close-up - a real action shot. You got some wonderful detail in this one. I can't tell what you did post-processing but it looks good!
