Passion in the Vineyard

A jug of wine, a loaf of crusty artisan bread, a block of cheddar, an assortment of fresh fruits, a bar of chocolate, a CD of your favorite music all to be enjoyed as you bask in the warm afternoon Sun amid a field of fragrant late-blooming Autumn flowers. Oh Yeah, I almost forgot...And your favorite someone.

Brightness adjusted, color enhanced, sharpened, Neat Image noise reduction and resized for posting

The detail is a little soft but I gave up trying to keep the size under 200 KB while not affecting the image. I probably should have just left it alone. The original is in workshop. It has only been resized

Workshops Welcome :-)

Hello Jim,
you found a couple of beautifully coloured dragonflies. Their presentation is not easy because of the complex structured vegetation in the background. The couple selected just this place! Nevertheless, you demonstrate the specificities and characteristics of the species very well. Some post-processing may slightly improve the picture in order to isolate the dragonflies a little more from the background. I tried a workshop and I hope that you will like the result.
Best wishes, Peter

Hi Jim. Love is in the air. or so they tell me.
You have captured a fine shot of the two dragonflies. good colours and a nice POV. the detail is good just a little noise in the BG. great shot all the same. TFS.
have a good week ahead.

Wonderful color display of Dragonflies on acid. No seriously the colors are very psychedelic. And of course the intimate moment capture is an important ingredient. Fine sharp work.

Saludos: J. Ignasi

Hi Jim,

Wonderful capture of these two! Even though there is so much vegetation they stand out very clearly. Colors are magnificent. That blue is really something. This must have been difficult to shoot but the result is admirable.

Hi Jim,
Colorful pair, I do appreciate the warning with that triple X rating :)
I find that the BG in macro is one of the most challenging elements..It will make or break the shot. Never-the-less, you've retained good detail and the POV works well IMO.

Great shot...cute notes! ha ha
I actually saw a few of these just a few hours earlier today...so when you learn what they are, please, share.

Wonderful colors! Great sharpness and interesting 'moment'.

Superb colours (very acid!) and outstanding details. I appreciate the problem with files sizes. My latest upload had to be reduced in size in order to keep it within site guidelines and still preserve some quality :(
I like your tight composition here
Great notes for an image with no ID :D

A wonderful array of colours...a fine shot...
