[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This pretty little Palm Warbler is part of the first wave of Warblers that will be coming through our area with the Spring migration. I think Warblers are among the prettiest and sweetest singing birds in the world. They are most difficult to see at times, but never difficult to hear! They are usually in heavy brush hiding their beauty or in tree tops snag an insect snack. Those of us who are Warbler Watchers complain during this season of a sore neck or Warblers Neck as it is a chronic condition from looking up to see them! Palm Warblers and Yellow-rumped ( Myrtle) Warblers are always among the first to arrive with the many others like Magnolia, Black-throated Green , Common Yellow-throat, Cerulean, Wilson's, Black-throated Blue, Blackburian, Parula,Blue-winged,Black and White, and the list goes on and on. I hope to bring you some candid looks at some of these species. I also hope to show fellow TN member, Bente, some of these pretty little birds when she is visiting in my area .

This cheeky little fellow nests in pine bogs and feeds on insects. He is usually seen pumping his tail. There are two versions, Eastern and Western. This one is an Eastern with a brilliant yellow breast where as the Western is much paler.

Warblers are a favorite of mine. It seems that we have a one week difference in migrations. I figure in about a week, I will see some warblers. American redstart, yellow warbler, black and white, magnolia all hang around my backyard. It's great.

A beautiful capture in a fine setting. The lighting appears to be early morning and shows off the bird nicely. Excelent details and composition.
