This is a good picture of this nice lady that you exposed pretty well in those difficult conditions. Her beak is looking different from the one I see here... I love those birds a lot and I have the chance to see them everyday but those ladies are not easy to approach... Thanks,

This is a beautiful view of the bird. Nice pose on the rock against the clear background. The back lit is very well managed to give the detailed view of the feather. Good details and natural color. I like it.

Lovely shot - interesting frame. I love the pose and composition here. I guess the pose would be considered dynamic - almost like she's stepping forward. Cool!

Nice photo!

Not a female Cardinal!! The reasons: bill wrong both in conformation and color; no incipient black bib; no reddish wash on breast; too little extension of reddish wash on to the wing coverts.

This is an adult female Cardinalis sinuatus (Pyrrhuloxia).

You have shared a true masterpiece. All is not perfectly. It is charming, beautiful and artistic. Great scene, amazing and pleasant for look delicate colour palette, excellent DOF and combination of sharp main object and blurred BG. You have decorated your image perfectly. My compliments.

This is a great shot..The light is just spot on illuminating this lovely cardinal perfectly...Ahem!!..I can see you had fun with frame and thats what is all about..But for me it has the look of a cheap kitchen unit!!..(I hope this doesnt offend and is meant light heartedly)

Hello Billy, this is a lovely profile shot with a great pose and the rocks help the composition. I do prefer it to branches, the bg is beautiful, the backlight isn't so wonderful but youve got some light reflected from the rock which help to illuminate the bird as a reflector. A lovely and exotic looking bird.
My only experience with them is from here on TN.This is well captured with lovely lighting.
The details are excellent with very good plumage detail.
The overall pallette of colours is lovely.

Good and proud pose of the bird.
Shade on the wrong side, but as you said, the birds as a rule do not take into account the position of the sun and of the photographer, things that makes bird photography so interesting and exciting.
