Wonderful Tom...they really go at it. I wonder if we mimic them in facial expression when we men battle..in the actors ring at least..A fine image. I hope your spring is filled with more as these.

hello Tom

superb shot of this eagle, excellent low at the level
of the subject POV, i love the framing, excellent DOF,
excellent sharpness and details, TFS

Nice rich brown in this Tom. The brown grass as a backround really set this off. Nicely done. Trevor

Beautiful photograph Tom! Wow, what a clear shot, and you've solved a mystery for me too. There is a very large brown bird hanging out at the Stevenson waterfront, all brown with some white on it's chest feathers. I wondered what kind of eagle it was, perhaps it is a juvinile bald eagle like this one. We have at least 4 bald eagles with the white heads around, but I didn't realize they didn't get their white heads until they were older.
So with your lovely photo, I think perhaps the one I saw is exactly that.
I stood 10 feet from him, perched in a fir tree for over 10 minutes so I got a really good look, but of course my camera was sitting at home!
I love the detail in this photo, and the "action" shot with him just finishing his meal, wonderful documentary shot, well done.
