We have had an unusual spring so far with snow every other day, so there is not time for a compete melt as of yet but crocus and other things are coming to life....and Fish Lake picture here is no longer frozen. I see little "things" swimming in there but not fish...I am not certain what they are...but tiny....and interestingly enough the lake shows the blue sky while the actually sky is washed out. It was not a particularly sunny day but some clouds here and there. Just enough colour and reflection to give me a peaceful feeling and image to share for a Sunday.

The image shows well the transitional part of the year. There is still a hint of what was left of autumn before the snows came and halted everything, yet there is a feeling off anticipation. I can sense it in the air and on my skin while standing there...and the breeze brings a warmish feel to it...filled with some sort of perfumed floral which is no doubt hiding beneath the tall winter dried grasses....and soon the flying beast and creep crawly creatures will arrive and all of a sudden it will be as if a fairy had come and sprinkled the lake and surroundings with a dusting of full pallet...I am anxious! Can you tell?

Bob,
Great shot of this beattiful area you've decided to visit for the day. Love the natural earth tones and the reflection is wonderfully incorporated into your shot.
I can sense that you are as ready for spring to get here as I am. If you look close I think you can see a nice big bass just to the left of the center tree in about a foot of water. Better get your rod out!!

Hi My dear friend Bob.

Hello Bob,
Sorry I have taken so long to get back to comment but work has been busy. This is a lovely image of a very placid scene. So peaceful just what I need, one more day then out to the hills. Thanks for sharing my friend.
Rick

Morning Bob,
Beautiful mirror image, it makes the shot.
The photo does show the "transitional", with a definite feeling of "anticipation".
The storm is clearing as the sun comes up here, feel a sunny day approaching :)
Well done,
Howard

Hi Bob,

The reflections in the water are assets to the composition. The point of view leads our eyes toward the evergreens in the background. The subject is well framed. There is a good contrast between the colors. Have a nice day.

Pierre
