[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Spring comes in with new budding leaves and coloured flowers. The wind gently blows; rains slowly wash away what is left of winter and there is a new lightness of energy new light and energy. Here on the edge of the rolling prairies the lowlands are flooded in a shapely way as to be of use for all things living. Even the aspen tree is overindulged in water. But in a few weeks this will all have slowly sunk into the landscape and then come the flying creatures and buzzing insects.

Many of the low lying areas on the Palouse are covered in water. many of the areas are classified as wetlands and hence protected from encroachment of man or building. It is here where things left behind in the great flood 10,000 years ago are still a reminder of the formation of this land 5 million years ago. In spring it has a quiet solitude feeling about it. I am there alone with my camera, but I almost feel as though I am intruding on the process of nature, yet I remain a witness to what is happening. And in this it is beautiful to see.

The image oozes peace, tranquillity and repose, Bob.
The light is gentle and the slight disturbance on the otherwise placid water is just beautiful.
I can feel how pleased you must be in the midst of this lovely aspect of nature.
Regards,
Ram

hello Bob

our ponds are still frozen, and on some many places
in the vegetations we still have snows, but soon here too

Again Bob, I do not know whats in this shot! The water looks Ok, the landscape, passable...overall nothing out of the ordinary...yet you make it stand out, and this shot tells me story of how man has only taken from Nature and never given her back anytthing...Your notes, as usual, are excellent..
Very well done, Bob!

Oh Bob, this is a a lovely scene with that 'touch' - - - I got it! It's the lighting that makes a photo a real "BOB" - - - so what is it about the lighting? Still working on that...but definitely has to do with the lighting. :)
