Hé Hé Mr. Shannon, this is among my favourite birds, in fact I really love black birds! We don't have that species here, we do see the Common Grackle as your blackbird is only seen in the south-west of Canada. It is a beautiful bird and you captured its nice iridescent colours. Did you notice the length of its nails?!! And I'm surprised, there's not much to read from you today!!! Have a great day!

Namastay Bob,
A lovely capture of this black bird. It looks much similar to the crows only difference is in the eyes. Excellent composition and details. Thanks a lot for sharing.

hello bob,
lovely capture, the details of the plumage is nice and the eye contact looks great,
well done,
tfs & regards

Hi Bob.
I like pictured scene a lot, its three different and nice colours, brilliant image of the fine bird and cute smooth green BG. Cropping and composition are wonderful (for my taste) too. Bravo and kind regards.

Hi Bob,

You're turning into a real bird man! I've never seen a Brewer's Blackbird - I live a sheltered life. I love the irridescent colors - must be a beautiful bird to see. And he looks BIG. Wonderful colors - great detail of the face, eye, plummage, and big feet. The pose is a good one.

Hello Bob,
After my absence I homed in on this one because it looked so stunning as a thumbnail and I wasn't disappointed when I opened it.
Technically superb and a 7000 shutterspeed is a setting I've never used but the result is undeniably top and the BG is great thanks to the low aperture.
Composition couldn't be better as well, alltogether making a great image just on your doorstep!
Thanks, Bob!

Great shot Bob,
When I first viewed your photo I thought it was a Grackle. I was trying to get a shot of one just this past week but the lighting wasn't right. I love the iridescent colours that they have in their plumage.
You did a great job of showcasing this guy and his beautiful coloration. Very sharp and detailed image!!

Mr Bob

You are becoming quite the twitcher now...
Nice colours sets off a classy pose.
