Osprey Belly serfing
|[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note|
|I know the quality isint that great on these pictures but I wonted to post them because of the poses that I captured of this Osprey. I think he mite have been trying to cool off because it didint look like he was trying to ketch any thing. Any way, there are two more Pictures in the work shop. Hope you enjoy and thanks for looking.|

Nothing wrong with the quality at all tom. It doesn't have to always be close in. I think the environmental image of the bird playing in the world in which it lives suits just fine and by the way fits my theme of small bird, big world.
This bird is imposingly large when seen in close. but when we see it in this way it gives a whole new perspective. Very good capture and I like the "projection" of feelings and action.
i agree with Bob, a bird photography It doesn't have
to always be close, some times like in your image here
i love more to see them from far and with there environnement,
excellent in-flight actions shot of your 3 images, TFS
Quality wise the photo seems pretty good to me. The action captured is ofcourse super and something many of us would have liked to capture it ourself. My only concern is the tilt to the right. It now looks as if the Osprey is flying up a slope. Tilting the photo to the left and make the flight horizontal would be better.
You managed great sharpness in this one Tom... not easy panning with that big lens. The quality looks good. I like the light on the osprey. I agree with Niek about the rotation.
