[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
A friend of mine mentioned where there were several hummingbirds, so I decided I would sit and wait for a while, just to see if I could get one.

About an hour later, this one landed and I managed to get a quick capture. Due to a fall that netted me several bruised ribs, my mobility is severely limited at the moment - but I still try.

These are humming little beauties and if I had the stamina, I'd go further. I hope my ribs hurry and heal, and for what it's worth, this accident was not related to photography.

I was walking my dog, fell with little warning and landed on my side. There wasn't a camera involved (good thing, because I probably would've dropped it.) I think I'll donate my body to science when I expire just to see if there is a 'clumsy' gene...

Hi kathy. I am glad you are ok after your fall you must take more care . This is a good close up of the Hummingbird , which you have taken with good detail and lots of colours in theflowers., and BG. well done TFS.

Simply super Kathy. I can see why you want to get hat camera fixed..not because it produces anything bad, but because you want to make sure it keeps on doing what it did here!

Now this photo has some color!! Very nice shot Kathy,
Hummingbirds are a real favorite of ours, Rosie and I were sitting out back this evening watching them come and go from our feeder.
You have to be ready in an instant in order to catch them as they land on a flower like this. Great job!!

Hello Kathy, that's a fantastic capture of this Hummingbird, lovely composition and very sharp details, very well done!

Hi Kathy,

It looks like you did pretty well in spite of the handicap!!! I like the sharpness of the bird and purple flower and then the gradations of sharpness as one goes deeper into the scene. The softly patterned OOF background is really nice. The colors are wonderful.

Evelynn : )

Hey, we may be related... "gene wise" !!!!!!!!!!!

something so tiny, beautiful and gracious... fine and pleasing composition. regards h

as for a clumsy gene!!.. there is one, I have it also, but the last time I trashed my lens!!! take care and keep away from the ground!!!

hello Kathy

excellent shot of this Hummingbird, fine POV and vertical framing,
excellent sharpness and details, on your image i love the excellent
density of the colours and the warm luminosity and the bird's pose, TFS
