I appreciate how much Markus (Heaven) likes abstract nature compositions and hope he likes this one. This is a desert stream already dwindling by mid April. For those of you familiar with Arches National Park, this was taken near the trailhead to Delicate Arch (which we hiked up to 4(!) times on our last trip).

...Only you could do this Ev! I love to frame things this way, but so many do not have the same eyes...I am always unsure....which with your photo and some answer I also mentioned to Markus...not meaning anything badly...because I really love Markus...he has a heart as big as ....well...just a big heart lets say...but

I owned a Jackson Pollack painting about 20 years ago...and I also owned a Carl Uranek painting which now hangs in a big tower building in Boston...both images were the same style...I only sold mine because so few people appreciate them. I was very happy with them...I loved them to death as I do this image here..this is framed just so neat...anyway I am off both tracks with all wheels now so...lets just say I wish I had both paintings back...and you know why of course...$$$$....

The eyes of the beholder...you do it so well and you hide it most of the time...and Markus does it 90 percent of the time...for a while nobody seemed to understand, but I did and I told some of my friends who told their fiends...and so on...but this...this is truly a work from an artists and by an artist...You are and always will be gifted...well...as for the later, I prayer that your gifts remain with all of us who appreciate them.
Bob

Wow that is so beautiful Evelynn!
Blues and yellows, circles and ripples, diagonals and horizontals are composed so perfectly together!
Anyhow you noticed this just thank you much for sharing!
I'm sure Markus will love it too.

Best regards,

Congratulations on a stunning image, excellent d.o.f, stunning colours, and as for the ripples on the water that’s just adds to an already beautiful image, really nice work, t.f.s

Cheers Rick :)

Evelynn,

What a superb landscape shot. I love the lighting and the warm colors you captured in this shot. I haven't done too many shots of this kind but one thing is for sure - you've got a winner here. Everything clicks just right here - congrats!

Best Regards,

Martin

Hello Evelynn,
As always you've presented a very nicely composed image filled with great detail, texture and wonderful colors.
This one is no exception, it has perfect composition, movement, reflection, contrasting colors and beautiful scenery. TFS.

Hello Evelynn,
I loved the golden sunlight over this beautiful desert stream! really beautiful!
the ripples adds a lot of bonus towards this composition
many thanks for the sharing
best regards

Hi Evelynn!

Yes, Markus likes it! And how!

First let me thank you for this warm attention. I don't know how I merit this... But it's such a good feeling, especially because my way to see nature is somehow particular and does not please everybody. It's not classical...

I'm happy that I nevertheless have found two possibilities to show my approach: TN and exhibitions. Maybe Flysch or ice or both together will be the subject for the next exhibition in about a year, I hope.

Now Evelynn, your picture is marvellous, and I don't say this just because you have dedicated it to me. The composition with the rings and the reflections on the water is superb. The yellow grass and reddish bush contrast at their best in front of the dark background. Moreover, there's almost nothing in the picture that could awake any interest. But it's still marvellous and awakes emotions. That's the magic of that kind of pictures: shapes, colours and atmospheres appeal to our emotions and we are delighted without exactly knowing why...

Moreover, it seems that I "redo" my six weeks trip through the Western National Parks about 8 years ago. I took part in the World Championship in Boomerang throwing and combined it with that trip, together with my family and our best friends. We also climbed up to Delicate Arch, it was a bit overcast and evening. We suffered from the terrible heat and were afraid that we couldn't take any nice pictures. Then, about five minutes before sunset, the clouds opened and the last sunrays fell on Delicate Arch. It was magical... and after having chased a Japanese couple that behaved as if they were the only people up there we had about two minutes to take some pictures. They turned out well, maybe I will post one of them.

Kind regards

Markus

Hi Evelynn

A superb shot - the ripples at the bottom are inspired (and timed very well). The lighting and colour are both excellent too. Great work - as usual.

Hello Evelynn,
A magical corner of nature you caught here in your picture. The rings in the blue water, just a poem. I'm sure every child would be delighted to see that. Beautiful light, natural colours, very well seen. Very nice dedication to our kind fellow Markus.
Best regards
Anne

Hi Evelynn,
I love the reflection of the yellow grass in this photo. It slight disturbance makes it even more beautiful. The warm colors from the soft light contrasting the reflected blue sky is very powerful.
So did Jerry throw in a rock on your command? :)

Hi Evelynn,
What an eye-catcher!
The colours and scenery is very attractive and abstract,
Well framed,
Thanks for sharing,
Kind regards

Oh what an eye you have... I love the way you take a "closer look" at your surroundings and show us what you see. I love the way in which, when I look at this picture, my "mind's eye" takes me left and right out of frame to imagine and include more than what you show. I love it when that happens. I imagine a sunlit tree to the right and more grasses to the left along the extended back... and some deep blue shadows in the water. Thanks for this one Evelynn.

Hi Evelynn,

This is a masterpiece that Dali would not doubt appreciate in his own way. The warmness of the cool blue colors and the hot grassy tones leads to a very appealing complexity to this shot. Not to mention those wonderful water rings. Very appealing.
