Interesting post. I have one in my list of possible posts which I'm sure is the same reed. They are wonderful when backlit, but it is often difficult to capture what they look like to your eye because the lighting conditions are difficult for cameras to handle. I've done a workshop to illustrate. Hope you like it.
This is a very nice composition. It is very effective! However the glare from the sun has really removed contrast from the image, this can be prevented by holding your hand just above the lens to block out the glare. That tree is a little distracting too, but this image was well seen!
