A very beautiful and peaceful looking valley. This view kind of reminds me of Northern PA. near Tionesta.
I love the diagonal lines of what appear to be some type of spruce trees. The rain and soft lighting gives it that mystical touch. This is my kind of country!! TFS.

The terrain looks as wild as you have stated it to be! The rain really allows the image to take on that "wild" appearance as nothing but the bridge brings to one's eye the hint of civilization due the amount of percipitation. The image does take on the feel of a painting,
Excellent post and capture...

A beautiful scene pulled from your archives. This has it all - river, bridge, trees, mountain and sky. There is wonderful depth to this picture, lovely colors and a superb composition. For some reason looking at this reminds me of the old covered bridges I used to see in NJ.

Ya, it is almost a painting.
The misty weather makes it even more enthralling.

A fantastic landscape captured in subdued drizzly light that helps give the image a fine perspective, like a painting.
The river could well be full of rainbows and its banks full of life that would make the nature photographer burn with enthusiasm a bit later in the year...
Nice one Bob: you and Jane live in a beautiful part of the world...

That's a wonderful place, Bob, so peaceful - you can walk there in pure nature and forget all hectic and stress, that's wonderful - and that's what I feel when I look to your shot, thanks

Seeing this and reading your description makes me anxious for my trips to The Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument. It is the most remote place in the lower 48 states and I look forward to probing it's secrets with my camera.
I want to sleep alone under the quiet sky where there isn't a single human being within 50 miles, become one with the desert and come back with photographic evidence documenting the experience.

You have made excellent documentation surrounding your area. This view is so dreamy with tiers of mountains in the backdrop where the wilderness is in store. Good tall frame shot in pleasing color and clarity.
Well done and TFS.

The trees are a natural frame to the river. The diagonal line of the bridge is an asset to the composition. The point of view leads our eyes toward the mountains in the background through the rain which is giving depth to the photo. The low light is giving a good contrast to the scenery. Have a nice day.
