|This male redwing blackbird perched here for only a moment, but fortunately, I had my camera in hand. I managed to get off a shot or two, but what I really enjoy about this capture is the contrast of the white fence against his body and the natural setting.|
There were several of these birds calling out - perhaps in hopes of attracting females? Regardless, we finally got a break in the weather and I headed out for the day - not realizing just how far we trekked until that night when I went to wash the bottom of my feet (and they were black), only to discover I was trying to scrub away bruises, not dirt!
Still, the day was lovely, perfect to a walk to no where in particular and my dog enjoyed it as much as I did.
I've made the move, but now my Net seems to go in and out - they are coming to fix it (again) today.
These birds are loud, their voices harsh, but they are distinct, and I absolutely love their coloring. I hope you enjoy him as well.

Hi Kathy. I seen pictures of this bird before and always wonder why nature gave it the red splash on the wings. This is a good close up with good detail a. well done TFs.
