Hi Howard,
this is Egyptian Goose (Alopochen aegyptiaca), an African species.
Welcome to TN.


I think this is an Egyptian Goose, Alopochen aegyptiacus. It has been introduced to England a few hundred years ago. Small numbers live also in Belgium, the Netherlands and probably other in temperate countries.

I wish you a very warm welcome to TN ! I agree with Michal and Florin for the bird's ID, and I also want to say that I like your picture - beautiful colors, nice composition, great pose of the Goose. The focus is a bit soft, maybe you could try some sharpening to bring out more details. Well done !
