Info on the Tricolored Heron

For nagraj.v
The photo was cropped, shadows lightened a tad, resized and Neat Image was used to soften the BG...Very little color enhancement and sharpening were applied...It is early morning and the Sun has just broken through some clouds on the horizon...Original can be seen in WS...Jim

hello Jim
I like a lot the pose and the composition, the moment is particularly good, the sharpering is OK, as attribution of colours prefer the presentation of WS

Hello Jim,
The thumbnail doesn't do this one justice!
A great capture of a Tricolored Heron taken from a great lateral POV with fine sharpness, lighting and colors against a good OOF natural BG that shows it up well.
The pose and composition are good too.
Thanks and all the best,
Ivan

wow! splendid image! tres bonne netette et detailles!
belles couleurs et tres bonne cadrage!

merci.

Good colors but the highlight tool could have been used better to avoid halo's formed around edges. The dynamic range also looks quite unnatural.

Hi Jim,
it's good to see a Texan at work again after the semi-departure of Howard Cheek (marhowie) from TN :-). Great, this heron watching for the insouciant fish. The composition is a success what with the blurred but still recognizable background, the habitat of the heron. Maybe you could turn up the contrast in PS (or change color temperature), but that is a matter of taste.
With the best regards of a 20th generationPlus Swiss,
Dietrich

Super capture Jim!!
Love the intense look on the birds face as he waits for just the right moment to make his move. Wonderful detail and color along with perfect exposure. Love the blurred BG!!
Ron

I really love the depth of field here. Perfect blurry background again a nice sharpness. What an interesting pose.
