[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
It took two weeks until a bird found this seed bell. I was closing the shutters before dinner and saw this Pyrrhuloxia testing it out. They are very skittish birds so I had to slip the lens through the slats or he would have taken off.

The Cardinalis Sinuatus is related to the Northern Cardinal. Like the Cardinal, he has a beautiful song. He is grayer and has a thick bill like a parrot. He is a year round resident of Southeastern Arizona.

It was so nice seeing this bright bird on a dull day.

Hi Jane,
This is among his best photos! ... undoubtedly combining humanized elements with the bird this time has proved ideal. Very good tones on plumage, there is a slight excess of gamma brightness at the top of the photo, but does not affect the result. Excellent square cut for a very good composicióm.
PS: I did not know there seed bells for birds! ha ... ha ..! :)

Hi Jane. The Cardinalis may be the first bird to find your new feeder but i am sure it will not be your last. You were able to get a good head on picture of this colourful bird. Which you have taken with fine detail. TFS.

Hello Jane,
Though personally I try to avoid showing feeders here you have caught this male Pyrrhuloxia from a fine POV that shows his plumage together with his fine crest and thick parrot-like bill with nice sharpness and colours and his pose on the seed bell is ideal in this respect.
TFS this very attractive bird and have a good weekend,
Ivan

Hello Jane !
Wow, this is a wonderful bird ! I love his colors, red and silver, with this cute crest. Even if the conditions weren't exactly ideal for you to take the picture, you managed to get an excellent picture. The details are excellent, the pose of the bird is great, the dull winter colors are well reproduced. Very well done !
Valérie.
