The light is really nice, and the deer was caught in a very natural pose in its habitat. An excellent grab-shot!
It's also a commentary on the state of the "wild" in the eastern US, as there's lots of invasive Garlic Mustard in the shot. That stuff is everywhere now. Awful stuff!

Very nice picture with beautiful natural colors! I really like the way the vegetation surrounds the Buck like a natural frame. The post processing is really well done. I suspect that the buck was very close of you, isn't it?
Great job and TFS!

a very beautiful photo of this buck of the White-tailed Deer,
your frontal POV gives a beautiful eye-contact from the animal,
i also love to see with the deer all the vegetation of his environment,

This is such a lovely, lovely buck, with an innocent looking personality which I can sense 1000's of kilometres away. It is a beauty and the pose in which you managed to capture it is seems so sincere and without pretence. The greenery that surrounds the buck is ever so lovely and does not only create the ideal backdrop but it also serves as a natural frame. The image as a whole is really beautiful and in my personal opinion very childlike. The black moist snout, short horns, lively rigid ears and last but not the least "Bambi eyes" are an absolute pleasure to look at and appreciate. This is my kind of picture, as it softens the heart. It will go to my personal favourite folder. Thanks for sharing. Best regards.
Ps. Thanks for the mail you sent me, I have been very busy lately and did not want to rush to have a look at it. As soon as time allows me to look properly I'll do so. Thanks for thinking of me when you sent it out. It is much appreciated.
Kind of reminds me of the "forest giraffe" or "okapi" with the oscicone nubs on its head, only a different colored pelage and zebra striped hinds legs and 14 inch tongue are missing. I like this kind of momment captured as it shows this paticular animal off very well in all that dense green foliage. I would also have to say that I'm quite impressed if this was handheld at 1/40 of a sec, even at the wide aperature setting under the canopy of the forest. Well done Ron. :)
