Red Eyed Tree Frog
Agalychnis callidryas

Red-eyed tree frogs are not poisonous and rely on camouflage to protect themselves. During the day, they remain motionless, cover their blue sides with their back legs, tuck their bright feet under their belly, and shut their red eyes. Thus, they appear almost completely green, and well hidden among the foliage.

Incredible colours here, and I was surprised to read that this little tree frog is not poisonous. How big is he? Nature certainly is amazing. Many thanks for sharing this photo.

Fantastic colors and sharpness.A job well done!

Excellent flashwork, the splash of colors are striking and vibrant.
One of the best closeup comps I've seen, everything comes together in harmonious fashion. Truly a work of art..

Bonsoir Paul,

Another nice froggy in your collection. Great shot showing excellent technical control. Pin sharp, perfectly exposed with nice rich and saturated colors. Lighting isn't too harsh considering flash exposure. I beleive you used some slight diffusion, but shadows are still well defined but pleasant. Of course the subject is exotic, but without good photography technics it wouldn't show up that great. Excellent work and TFS.

Hallo Paul
To look at this Red Eyed Tree Frog with its colourful markings and two shaded paws, is a sheer delight. I just love the way its front paw is wrapped around the plant and how well the big eyes displays. A great macro with lots of lovely colours, supersharp details and most pleasant background that highlights this froggie's features to its best. This is indeed any painters dream. Thanks for sharing. Best regards.
Anna

Very nicely done. I am always amazed by your images, and this one is no exception. I love the way the frog seems to be cradled by the leaf. Very nicely done.
