[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I believe this is a photo of a Variegated Fritillary
Euptoieta claudia (Cramer, 1776) on one of my cosmo flowers.
Family: Brush-footed Butterflies (Nymphalidae)
Subfamily: Longwings (Heliconiinae)
This was my first good opportunity to photo this butterfly. It was kind enough to hang around for a while so I was able to get a good number of shots.

Triangulation: This summer has been a triangulation of hobies for me. Its a blend of gardening and photography that is leading me to investigate things I new nothing about. Last year I know nothing about btterflies and had never gown a cosmo. It just goes to show how one action can produce unforseen enjoyment. Do nothing get nothing. Do something and find a gem! I'm not meaning to toot my own horn, just share my joy. Treknature has been part of the learing tool and I'm glad you are here.

Thanks for stopping by for a peep.
